Cheap eat. Their duck meat rice is highly recommended. The mixed duck offal soup is also tasty.

This place seemed popular, being fairly crowded even at 3pm. The braised meat rice was fragrant and nice, but we did not feel that the duck meat was anything special.

Very nice duck meat rice and minced pork rice (肉燥飯)! You get minced pork in the duck meat rice option as well, which makes it super nice and worth the queue. It might not be the richest in flavour, but I do think it makes it just the nice level to keep you wanting more.Not sure if there is English aid at the restaurant (since I ordered in Chinese), but residents in the queue might be of service.

This is one of the famous traditional Taiwanese food in Yuan Chang district. It is always pack during lunch or supper time, expect huge line when dinning at this hour. Recommend duck rice and duck mung bean noodle. The process of ordering is you line up and order with the table number, they will collect the money at your table once all the food have arrived. Remember you can have unlimited refill of soup and meat sauce. :D

This is a divey place but the food is good. If you don't mind dives, this place is everything duck under the sun....or rain in our case. This super no frills joint is basically snag a table and get on line and order your food. The food comes very quickly. We managed to snag a table real quick and ordered almost everything on the menu except innards. The vermicelli soup with duck was good. My family ordered the duck with rice and pork lard. They enjoyed it while we opted to skip that. The duck is pretty lean and I believe it's boiled. The plum sauce is not overwhelming but just right. We got two plates of greens that were tea KY fresh garlicky and amazing. Def give this a shot if in the area!

Everything duck. This place was busy when we came but the food arrived quickly and was tasty. Remember to go back for free soup! One of the key benefits here (and in a lot of other small independent places around the area) but don’t leave it on the table when you go! If you ask for free top-up, it’s frowned upon to then leave it!

This place is popular among the locals and tourists. Ordered the duck rice and the mixed organ soup and they were awesome. About twd160 which was really value for money. Highly recommended

Great service especially there is Indonesian worker that can speak in Indonesia so language is not a barrier. The food was very delicious too. I ordered Large Duck Rice

This is the famous Duck Zhen of Kaoshiong! Really very nice. Long queues can be seen for take away orders and full house for dine in customers. Have to search for your own seats. Food are reasonably priced and portioned. Really tasty duck and soup. Must try! Worth the queue!

classic order is their 鸭肉饭/ duck rice which comes with rice, duck and fatty pork. ordered their duck innards soup which was pretty good too.

Friendly service. I ordered duck on rice ($55) and duck blood rice ($20). The duck slices portion was very generous and had a nice smokey flavor to it. Blood rice was average. Will be back to try the duck noodles. More than reasonable prices.

Delicious braised sliced duck meat with pork sauce and small pieces of soft pork. Other speciality is the glass noodle with duck meat. Patrons need to queue to place their orders. Food to be paid when served. Quick service and courteous staff. Reasonable price.

Delicious duck rice! We ordered duck rice and a plate of duck to share. The base of the duck rice is actually braised pork rice (滷肉飯) and I kinda love the 滷肉飯 more than the duck! The duck is great but the braised pork rice steals my heart more. This place is extremely crowded especially during lunch time, so prepare what you want to order and don't dilly dally when it is your turn to order.

Came here in the morning so we didn’t plan to have a full meal. Ordered a small bowl of duck rice to share between 2 people. The portion was pretty big given that it was a small size. The duck meat was tasty, the rice, like most other 卤肉饭 rice we’ve tried in Taiwan, was very soft and had a sticky texture. The gravy was a bit too salty for my taste though. I guess it’s supposed to be overly salty to go well with the plain rice. Overall it was a nice experience.

Good and delicious comfort food. They have an english menu if you ask for it. We only spent $225 NTD for this meal. They have a ton of oscillating fans in the dining area so dont be afraid of coming here during hot weather. Bring a floss pick for the aftermath.

Came around 1pm and the place was still quite busy but we were able to get our order in within 5 mins. Staff was super friendly even though we could only manage broken mandarin. Awesome duck rice and duck innards soup. The vegetable plate was pretty good too. Decent price for everything, flavours were amazing. No wonder it was so busy!

If you come alone, for me small duck rice is enough, together with veggies and soup. If you come together with 2/more people, you can order rice alongside with the duck cuts, or another local dish which I don't really know what they are. Actually you can order which part of duck you do want (including intestine). The taste is great, one of Kaohsiung's food that I will come again.

Food wasn't exceptionally tasty but has a nostalgic charm to it and the atmosphere here is slightly chaotic and rowdy especially during peak hours (expect a 10 mins q). The food they serve is simple yet flavourful, the true embodiment of taiwanese food. Also it is very very affordable and for that it is a 5 star from me.

Very delicious food, duck obviously is their specialty. The owner and staffs are very nice and friendly though they didn't speak much English. We showed the photo of the dishes we want. Portion is more than sufficient. We paid TWD 240 for 2 bowls of the rice with duck, 1 portion of duck drumstick and stir-fried vegetables.

I had the duck rice (鴨肉飯 small $55, large $65nt). It was so delicious! A bowl of rice, topped with generous amount of duck and minced pork. Really worth it!The wait looks pretty crazy during normal meal Time, I went a little after 2pm on a weekday when the line just died down.There's a lot on the menu that I want to try! But already ate a lot prior. Food on other people's tables look so good hahah

Duck Zhen is an amazing place to have duck food for sure! I personally love it a lot and the price is pretty decent. You can feel the passion and friendly service! The taste and touch of the duck soup is very tasty. If you ever visit there, you must go for it. Highly recommended! Great place to go with great friends or family. I’ll definitely go again if I visit there again! Like it a lot.

Looove duck meat!! ♡ Super flavorful, 105nt for both duck noodle soup and duck braised rice ~ great with hot sauce ~ duck rice is mixed with fatty braided pork, and the sauce is very rich and greasy, feels super indulgent ~ soup tastes so clean and pure with fragrant ginger, and tasty bean thread noodles! Locals also love to order garlic stir fried vegetables and pork blood rice cakes!The service very friendly and fast, and the space is very clean, with lots of seats! Not too busy on Wednesday afternoon. Fully recommend to try in Kaohsiung~~

A must eat if you are in YanchengIt's a hidden gem and authentic tw food.They are famous for their duck It's really amazing how they can memorize your order.You need to tell them what you want and what table and they will bring it to you and then you pay. It's fresh, flavourful and cheap!You can ask them for more stock and they have water and self serve station for chopsticks, dipping sauce and napkins. Super clean and friendly staff despite how busy they are.

Not really worth to wait in line for this at all. The duck noodle soup was good but the other dish I order didn’t come with soup. Especially he did confirm with me. It still came without soup. So disappointed. The duck rich was the worst. It didn’t have any duck flavors anymore. He added the braised pork on the duck rice. That ruined the whole flavor.

The duck rice and dry duck noodles are nice! Worth to come over and try! The innards soup is too chewy for my liking. Felt like eating some rubber. They knew that we are tourists so got us a table and we did not have to queue to order the food. They helped us with the orders. Appreciate such hospitality.

Reasonable portion for the price the duck combined with lu rou fan was just right not too greasy and still tasty. The duck on the side had more bone so I wouldn't recommend ordering it unless you like that. The former had far less bone so I'd recommend getting an extra portion of that if you crave more duck meat. :-) They also have duck innards, but we weren't feeling adventurous that day. ;-)

Party of 6 showed up at noon. And not surprised, line was intense even during a monster rain storm. If your looking at this place, you know what to order. Duck over rice, duck in soup, and more duck. Get a side of veggies if that’s your thing. Can’t go wrong here. It’s cheap, good and will get you started on the right foot
